气候变化、环境污染、气象灾害等重大科学问题已成为人类面临的共同挑战。为提升协同应对能力，加强多方交流合作，促进科学技术创新，提供政府政策咨询，共享优质平台资源，2020年，由南京信息工程大学倡导，全球20多国30多家高校和科研院所共同发起成立了国际气象教育与科学研究协会（IAMES）。
Some crucial scientific issues like climate change, environmental pollution and meteorological disasters have already become common challenges for mankind. In order to enhance the ability of collaborative response, strengthen multi-lateral communication and cooperation, promote scientific and technological innovation, provide consultation for government policy and share high-quality platform resources, International Association of Meteorological Education and Sciences (IAMES) was co-initiated by more than 30 universities and scientific research institutes from over 20 countries in 2020 under the proposal of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology.
国际气象教育与科学研究协会 IAMES
IAMES是一个由大气、水文、环境及气象相关学科领域的高校、科研机构和培训机构等组成的国际组织。协会旨在增进气象教育、科学研究领域的国际合作和领导能力，促进气象教育与培训事业发展，加强高层次、国际化、跨学科、复合型人才培养，搭建国际合作高端平台来提升应对气候变化和气象防灾减灾能力、科学防治环境污染等重大科学问题，增强精准天气预报、利用气候资源的社会服务能力。
IAMES is an international organization consists of members of universities, scientific research institutes and training institutes inmeteorology (atmospheric science, hydrology, environmental science and other meteorology related disciplines). The objectives of IAMES are to encourage international collaboration and leadership in meteorological education and science, to develop meteorological education and training, to cultivate high-level, interdisciplinary and globally competitive talents, to solve crucial scientific issues like climate change, hydro-meteorological disasters, and environmental degradation by supporting joint scientific research and setting up international cooperation platforms and to strengthen weather and climate service capacities.

Science Forum
“IAMES科学大讲堂”是协会2021年举办的重要活动，也是WMO全球校园的重要组成部分。世界气象组织建立“全球校园”以应对全球范围内不断变化的学习需求，实现世界气象组织各区域培训中心之间的协同、分享、合作。“WMO全球校园-中国”由世界气象组织南京区域培训中心承办，致力于通过教育培训课程资源的分享和传授，增强各国气象部门专业技术人员的业务水平提升，通过提供相关领域的新知识新进展，促进气象教育研究领域的合作交流。
IAMES Science Forum is the important event that would be held by IAMES in 2021, as well as an indivisible part of WMO Global Campus, which is initiated by WMO to address the evolving global priorities for learning through synergies, sharing and cooperationwithin the network of World Meteorological Organization regional training centers. WMO Global Campus – China (GC-China) is hosted byWMO Regional Training Center Nanjing. Being a non-governmental and non-profit platform, GC-China aims at contributing to enhanced operational competency of NMHSs officials and technicians through sharing educational and training courses and resources on topics relevant to priority areas of capacity building, and promoting exchanges and collaborations in meteorological education and studies through offering updates and developments in relevant working areas.
“IAMES科学大讲堂”将主要邀请国内外在大气科学及相关学科有声望的科学家进行讲座交流。讲堂贯穿全年，每周1次，将采用线上（腾讯会议/Zoom）、线下（南京信息工程大学）相结合的方式。讲堂专家云集，首期邀请到了中国科学院院士、著名地理学家秦大河（首期讲堂直播链接https://meeting.tencent.com/l/T2NAZTLS3aeb，或通过扫描下方海报二维码进入）。海内外知名专家与您相约大讲堂。
IAMES Science Forum will invite prestigious scientists in Atmospheric Science and related disciplines to give lectures, which will be held once to twice a week throughout the year 2021 both online(Tencent Conference/Zoom) and onsite (NUIST). With experts gathered in IAMES Science Forum, QIN Dahe, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a well-known geographer, was invited as ourfirst lecturer （Live link to the first lecture is https://meeting.tencent.com/l/T2NAZTLS3aeb, or scan QR code on the following poster to enter the online conference room）.
